After meeting your guide at the hotel reception or cruise ship port we visit the Spice Bazaar, or Egyptian Bazaar, the second largest covered shopping complex in the city after the Grand Bazaar. The bazaar is filled with the aroma of exotic Eastern spices, dried fruits, nuts and seeds, lokum, Turkish Delight, and other edibles. We visit the Rustem Pasa Mosque famous for its exquisit Iznik Ties. We then embark onto a ferryboat for an excursion along the Bosphorus. From the comfort of boats lounge you can the enjoy the city's skyline, filled with Ottoman palaces, citadels, centuries-old mansions on both the European and Asian shorelines. We stop off at Ortakoy and visit the last home of the Sultan, Dolmabahce Palace. It was here that M. Kemal Atatürk, the Founding Father and the First President of the Republic died on the 10th of November 1938. On arrival back in the city we cross Galata Bridge to the district of Beyoglu. The trip up to İstiklal Strett takes us past the Galata Tower that stands watch over the Golden Horn. Along Istiklal Street there are chic boutiques, cafés and restaurants which line the tramway that leads to the ıconic Taxim Square and Gezi Park.
