Day 1- Arrival
Upon your arrival in Istanbul, you will be greeted our representative and be transferred to your hotel. Dpending on the time of your arrival we may be able to enjoy an excursion not available in our fixed itinary or you may wish to spend the day at your leisure.
Day 2- Old City Tour
After breakfast your guide will meet you in the reception lounge and escort you around the Old City. You will visit the “Blue Mosque” famed for its stunning blue Iznik Tiles and Sıx Mınarets, The Byzantine Basilica of Aya Sofia, with its amazing mosaics and frescoes, Topkapi Palace, the home of the Ottoman Sultans for nearly 400 years, the Basilica Cistern and the Hippodrome, with its Egyptian Obelisk, Serpent Column and the Fountain of Kaiser Wilheim II. A visit to the Grand Bazaar, with over 4,000 shops rounds off the day. Transfer back to your hotel.Overnight in Istanbul.
Day 3- Bosphorus Cruise & Dolmabahce Palace
After meeting your guide at the hotel reception or cruise ship port we visit the Spice Bazaar, or Egyptian Bazaar, the second largest covered shopping complex in the city after the Grand Bazaar. The bazaar is filled with the aroma of exotic Eastern spices, dried fruits, nuts and seeds, lokum, Turkish Delight, and other edibles. We visit the Rustem Pasa Mosque famous for its exquisit Iznik Ties. We then embark onto a ferryboat for an excursion along the Bosphorus. From the comfort of boats lounge you can the enjoy the city's skyline, filled with Ottoman palaces, citadels, centuries-old mansions on both the European and Asian shorelines. We stop off at Ortakoy and visit the last home of the Sultan, Dolmabahce Palace. It was here that M. Kemal Atatürk, the Founding Father and the First President of the Republic died on the 10th of November 1938.
After the tour you are transferred to your hotel
Day 4- Princess' Island (B)
After breakfast we drive to the Kabatas Pier for the ferry to the Prince's İsland.
We visit the largest of the archipeligo, Buyukada, meaning the Great Island. Since the Ottoman era it has been a recreational venueand the elegant mansions are still in use today. Our tour of the car-free island is taken in a Horse Drawn Carriage, a Phaeton. We then have lunch at a local fish restaurant on the waterfront with a panoramic view of Asian coast. After the lunch we take the ferry for Istanbul and then the transfer to your hotel. Overnight in Istanbul.
Day 5- Departure from Istanbul
After check out from your hotel, your guide will meet you for your transfer to the airport/cruise port. Our service ends here. Thank you for choosing Turkey Tourkey.
