Day 1: Arrival
On arrival at Istanbul airport our local representative will meet you and transfer you to your hotel. Depending on the time of your arrival we may be able to enjoy an excursion not available in our fixed itinary or you may wish to spend the day at your leisure.
Day 2: Istanbul
After breakfast your guide will meet you in the reception lounge and escort you around the Old City. You will visit the “Blue Mosque” famed for its stunning blue Iznik Tiles and Sıx Mınarets, The Byzantine Basilica of Aya Sofia, with its amazing mosaics and frescoes, Topkapi Palace, the home of the Ottoman Sultans for nearly 400 years, the Basilica Cistern and the Hippodrome, with its Egyptian Obelisk, Serpent Column and the Fountain of Kaiser Wilheim II. A visit to the Grand Bazaar, with over 4,000 shops rounds off the day. Transfer back to your hotel.
Day 3: Istanbul - Cappadocia
After an early breakfast you will fly to Cappadocia. After checking in at your hotel, the tour of the valley will commence with a visit the Red Valley, Monks Valley and the village of Avanos, famous for its ceramics. The Goreme Open Air Museum is filled with Cave Churches adorned with colourful frescoes. Their bright colours are as vivid as the day they were painted, due to the fact that they have not been exposed to daylight. Two night stay in Cappadocia
Day 4: Cappadocia
For the early bird an optional Hot Air Balloon Flight over the lunar landscape can put a whole new perspective on the rugged terrain. As dawn breaks these colourful giants climb into the air and drift silently over the valley's filled with "fairy chimney's and rock caves. We visit the Pigeon Valley, Uchisar Castle and the underground city of Kaymakli. After the tour you will be transferred to your hotel
Day 5: Cappadocia – Sirince
After breakfast we transfer to Kayseri airport for the flight to Izmir, from where we drive to Kusadasi. The day is free for you to explore the town and its castle.
Day 6: Ephesus
Your guide will meet you in the reception lounge and escort you to the Ancient City of Ephesus. The tour of Ephesus begins with a visit to the House of the Virgin Mary. Little is known of Mary’s life after she fled Jerusalem following the crucifıxion of Christ, but religious scholars believe she came to Seljuk with John the Baptist. The drive down Mount Pion will take you the ancient site and you will walk along the Sacred Way, passing the Amphitheatre were St Paul preached, the Library of Celsius, the Odeon, the Agora and the Temple of Artemis, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Overnight in Sirince.
Day 7: Hierapolis and Pamukkale
After an early breakfast you are driven to Hierapolis famed for its therapeutic baths, the largest necropolis in Turkey and its magnificent Amphitheatre. The on-site museum exhibits statuary and artefacts unearthed in excavations in the area. The Travertines of Pamukkale, the "Cotton Castle", were formed hundreds of years ago by the calcified waters which pour down the mountain. You have the opportunity to paddle in the pools or bathe in the Roman Baths Overnight stay in Pamukkale.
Day 8: Pamukkale – Antalya
We drive onward to Antalya where, after checking in at your hotel we take a tour of the Old City. Walking through the Roman Arch we come to the Kalesi district with its restored Ottoman Houses. The streets are filled with boutiques, jewellers, handicraft shops and cafés and restaurants. From the Castle Walls there is a beautiful panorama across the Mediterranean Sea.
Day 9: Perge – Aspendos
We leave Antalya for Perge and visit the magnificent 13,000 seater Roman theatre, the Tyche Temple ,the Palaestra, the Agora - surrounded by Corinthian style column capitals, the three-arched Monumental Gate, built by Plancia Magna, and the well preserved Stadium The water brought from a spring empties into a pool, precisely in the centre of the Monumental Fountain, and from there it flows through channels, into the streets. In Aspendos we visit the 20,000 seater Amphıtheatre, reputed to the finest in Asia Minor. The city is host to the annual Aspendos Opera and Ballet Festival. After the tour we take a short boat trip to the Duden Falls where the River Orontes cascades into the sea. In the early evening we fly to Istanbul for an overnight stay.
Day 10: Departure
After breakfast you are transferred to the airport for your onward flight. End of our service
